If you prefer a nasal CPAP mask but have trouble keeping your mouth closed during sleep due therapy pressure, a chinstrap may be the answer. The chinstrap is a padding cup and strap that fastens around the head and helps keep the mouth closed.

In order to be effective a chinstrap needs to stay in place. If you move around a lot whilst you sleep, you may find it preferable to try  a full face CPAP mask instead.
